Matthew Field

Matthew is a Director and Head of the Private Client Department at SMR Solicitors, specialising in Wills, Probate and Elderly Client Services and is based at our Selsey office.

Matthew qualified in 2004 and then joined SMR in 2005, focusing exclusively on the firm's private client department with expertise in the drafting of wills and probate as well as powers of attorney and deputyships.

He is an experienced private client solicitor with a passion for providing practical, client-focused legal advice. With extensive experience in the field, Matthew has advised individuals, families, and businesses, listening to their specific goals and values and ensuring their assets are protected and distributed according to their wishes.

Matthew's approach to private client work is client-focused, and he believes in taking the time to learn his clients' needs and concerns. He understands that estate planning and administration can be complex and emotional, and he continues to work hard to provide clear and practical guidance to his clients throughout the process.
